The pipeline planner in Leadtime ERP helps you to plan your team's capacities efficiently over a period of one or two weeks. The aim is to distribute tasks optimally across the available resources and thus achieve maximum value for your company.
The sequence of the elements planned here is automatically transferred to the stack views of the respective employees.

Access to the pipeline view
Navigate: Go to Plan and Prioritize and select Pipeline. This view shows a grid view of the week, divided into 15-minute increments, for detailed planning.
Structure of the Pipeline page

- Views: Switch between overview and detailed view. The overview shows hours as half-hour blocks, while the detailed view divides each hour into four sections.
- Reality toggle: Compare planned tasks with actual times to track deviations between plan and reality.
Add tasks to the pipeline

- Click on Add task to pipeline to open a dialog box. Enter the task, the employee responsible, the start and end date as well as the start and end time.
- Alternatively, you can draw a time block directly in the grid to make a quick assignment. The user and time settings are automatically applied, the task only needs to be added.
Duration / length of the elements
It is up to you how long you draw up the individual elements - i.e. how long the tasks are likely to take.
Why is the time estimate of the ticket not simply automatically assumed as the duration here? The reason is that the time estimate refers to the entire duration of the work steps to complete the task, including planning the task, final testing and feedback rounds. Pipeline planning is about planning how long the next work step will take for the assigned employee to complete.
Set the time frame based on realistic empirical values that you have with the assigned employee. Do not plan the entire week in order to leave a buffer for unexpected delays.
Activate pipeline

Mark all tasks on the right-hand side as active to confirm the planning. This will automatically update the employees' stacks with the planned tasks.
Navigation between weeks
Use the arrows at the top right to switch between the weekly views and display past and future planning.
Filter options
Limit the view to specific teams, such as developers, using the drop-down menu. Employees only see their own planning according to their authorization level.
Global pipeline settings

Under Settings → Administration → Workspace settings, you can define the start day of the pipeline and the pipeline period.
By default, the pipeline starts on Monday. However, you can set the start day to Tuesday in order to use Monday for planning. The planning period can also be set to one or two weeks.
The pipeline planner provides you with a detailed overview and control of your team's workload and ensures that all resources are used optimally.
