This video is your starting point with Leadtime. You get a compact overview of the interface and the most important navigation elements so you can confidently move through the application from day one.
First, you'll discover the main navigation on the left side – your central entry point to all areas. Menu items can be expanded or collapsed, and the administration area is deliberately set apart so you can quickly access workspace settings, roles, and permissions. The breadcrumb navigation at the top ensures you never get lost, even when diving deep into projects, tasks, and subtasks.
In the profile menu at the top right, you have access to everything personal: avatar, contact details, vacation requests, sick leave reports, and your personal journal. One central place for all individual settings.
The highlight is the Command Console (CMD+K on Mac, CTRL+K on Windows). It searches everything in real time – tasks, organizations, projects, team members – and groups results by category. You can also execute commands directly, such as creating new tasks or starting time tracking. Once you master the Command Console, you work significantly faster.
Additionally, you'll learn about switching between light and dark mode, the instant language toggle between German and English, and the integrated help system: the chatbot delivers answers from the knowledge base, and the question mark icon on every page provides context-specific documentation. You're never alone.
Hey Guys! My name is Lukas, I'm one of the founders of Leadtime, and in this video series I'll give you an overview of our platform.
These videos will guide you to get started as quickly as possible. For all the details, you'll find extensive documentation in the right corner of your screen.
I'll start by giving you a short introduction to the interface and the most important functions. So: Let's get started!
The Leadtime interface is clearly structured. On the left, you see the main navigation – this is your central entry point.
You can expand menu items to see more details – or collapse them if you want to save space. Very practical.
Look down here: The administration area is deliberately set apart. Here you'll find everything related to workspace settings, roles and permissions. This is the area for basic configuration.
Now take a look at the top area. Here you see the breadcrumb navigation.
Leadtime is a deeply nested application – you can dive deep into projects, tasks and subtasks. The breadcrumbs always show you where you are. So you can always find your way back.
One click here, and you jump back one level. Simple, but extremely useful.
In the top right, you'll find your profile menu.
Here you can make your personal settings: Your avatar, your contact details, vacation requests, sick leave reports and your personal journal.
Everything that concerns you as a person comes together here.
Now comes one of the most powerful features: The Command Console.
You can call it up from anywhere in the application with CMD+K on Mac – or CTRL+K on Windows.
The console searches everything in real time: tasks, organizations, projects, team members.
Look, the results are grouped by categories. Here, for example, I see the organization "Acme", a project with this client, and two open tasks.
One click, and I'm right there.
But that's not all. You can also execute commands directly.
For example: "Add task" – and the window for creating a new task opens right away.
Or "Start tracker" to start time tracking.
Or "Add team" to create a new team.
The Command Console is your turbo. Once you master it, you work significantly faster.
Two more small but nice features.
Here you can switch between light and dark mode.
This is easier on your eyes, especially when you sit in front of the screen for a long time. And it just looks good.
And here you can switch the language – between German and English.
The switch happens immediately, without reloading. Practical when you work internationally.
And now the most important part: You're never alone.
See here in the bottom right? This black icon with the speech bubble?
One click on it, and the support system opens.
Here you can talk directly with a chatbot that provides answers from our knowledge base. Just ask your question, and you get an immediate answer.
Even better: When you're on a specific page and need details – look up here.
See this question mark? One click opens the documentation – exactly for the page you're currently on.
That means: No matter where you are, no matter what question you have – you'll always find help.
And if needed, you can of course also ask us directly – the Leadtime support team is happy to help.
So. That was the first overview. You now know the structure of the interface, know how to navigate, and already have a powerful tool at hand with the Command Console.
In the next video, we'll set up your workspace – colors, logo, and all basic settings. That goes quickly, and afterwards the system will already look like yours.
So: See you soon!
