Guest users let external people – like customers or partners – securely access their own projects in Leadtime. With clearly limited permissions, internal data stays protected, while working with external collaborators remains efficient and transparent.
Transparent collaboration
External people (like customers) can be directly added to projects, check tasks, or leave feedback—no separate communication channels needed.
Time saver
Project statuses are always clear. No more asking about progress or tasks—customers can check the current status themselves.
Data security
Guest users only see projects linked to their organization. All other data stays hidden to make sure internal processes stay confidential.

Go to Organizations.
Pick the organization you want.
Open the Members tab and click Add member.
Enter the contact's basic info (name, position, email address).
Switch on the Allow access to the system option.
Under User role pick the Guest role.
Save the record.
The invited guest automatically gets an email with a magic link, which lets them log in once.
No more password assignment – login only happens via temporary access codes sent by email.
After clicking the magic link, the user gets taken to a welcome page.
There, they confirm their email address and can instantly access the projects shared with them.
