Leadtime offers guest users the opportunity to be integrated into their organization's projects. However, restricted rights mean that they can only access certain content, which ensures the protection of sensitive company data and at the same time enables effective collaboration.
Advantages of guest users
- Transparent collaboration: External users, such as customers, can stay informed about the progress of projects and submit specific tasks.
- Time saving: The integration of guest users reduces the number of queries and communication effort, as project progress can be viewed transparently.
- Assignment of roles and rights: Guest users only have access to the projects of their own organization, which means that internal company data remains protected.
Inviting a guest user
Step 1: Create a member of the organization
- Navigate to Organizations and select the desired organization.
- Click on Add member in the Members tab.
- Fill in the required fields such as first name, surname, position, date of birth and e-mail.
Step 2: Allow access to the system

- Activate the Allow access to the system option.
- Under User role, select a suitable role, such as Guest.
Step 3: Send invitation
- After saving, the invited user receives an automatic email with an invitation link.
Step 4: Welcome page and password setting
- The user is taken to a welcome page where they set a password to access the system.
Restricted access for guest users
- Guest users only see projects to which they have been assigned as a member.
- They do not have access to internal company data or projects from other organizations.
This approach ensures that customers and external partners can be efficiently integrated into ongoing projects without jeopardizing the security and confidentiality of other company data.
