Set up a project: EcoNomic Innovators website
Just a few weeks after the introduction of the new project model at Web4Coach, the first real customer inquiry is received: The consulting group "EcoNomic Innovators" from Munich is interested in the Coach Performance Package. The next step is to create a corresponding project in Leadtime.
Step-by-step guide to creating a project
1. create project
A Web4Coach employee clicks on the "Create project" button in Leadtime. A dialog for entering the relevant project data opens.

2. enter basic information
- Icon: A suitable symbol for better recognition of the project is selected.
- Project name: "Website EcoNomic Innovators".
- Type: This is an individual project, as it is a clearly defined, one-off assignment.
- Affiliation: The project is external because it is a customer project.
- Category: "Website project". 👉 Project categories can be defined in the project settings in the workspace settings.
- Status: "Sales" - the customer has requested the project but has not yet finally confirmed it.
- Organization: "EcoNomic Innovators" (was previously created in Leadtime).
- Value group: "Direct value-adding activities" (preset for customer projects).
- Short description: A short, concise text describing the project background and objective (e.g. one-pager website to increase visibility for the consulting team).
- Deadline: 28.02.2025 is entered as the planned project end date - as agreed in the first client meeting.
- Standard person responsible: An internal project manager - in this case: Anna Schulz - is selected.
3. define options
- Task types: The selection includes types used by default such as "Feature" and "Bug".
- Activities: Activities typical for the project such as "Development", "Testing" and "Management" are activated.
4. project teams and users
- Teams: The relevant internal teams such as "Project team" and "Specialist" are assigned.
- Users: Additional project members can be added as required.
- External access: Guest users from the customer's organization are allowed to access the project.
5. save project
After entering all settings, the employee clicks on "Save " - the project is now officially created and ready for configuration.
Result
The "Website EcoNomic Innovators" project is now available as a Leadtime individual project. It forms the basis for all subsequent configuration steps: Proposal creation, component allocation, task planning and subsequent billing.
