Documents" tab
Dynamic project documents can be created, managed and downloaded in the Documents tab of a project. Leadtime uses the project configuration stored in each case - e.g. products, work packages, discounts or project versions.
Document list

The main view shows a list view of all project documents created to date. The following columns are available for each entry:
- Title: The freely assignable name of the document
- Type: Document type (e.g. quotation, specification or user-defined editor)
- Status: Document status (e.g. Draft, Final, Waiting for approval, Accepted, Rejected, Parked)
- Project version: The project version on which the document is based
- Contact person: Responsible contact person on the customer side
- Created on: Date of document creation
Three symbols are also available:
- 🗑️ Delete document
- ✏️ Edit document
- ⬇️ Download document
Create document

Click on "Create Document" to open the editor. This has a two-column structure:
Left column: Configuration
- Project version: Selection of a saved version of the project as the basis
- Document type:
- Quotation: Automatically creates a quotation document based on the project version
- Specification: Creates a specification document from the project version
- User-defined editor: Freely customizable document with project variables
- Status: Selection from various document statuses
- Title & description: Free text fields
- Contact person: Pre-assigned if a standard contact has already been stored in the project
- Optional settings:
- Include table of contents
- Activate draft mode ("Draft" watermark)
- Insert title page
- Select heading style: e.g. with numbering from level 1 or with § prefix
Right column
- A structured project overview is automatically displayed for quotations and specifications:
- All products
- All components
- Manual items
- Discounts etc.
- In the user-defined editor, a free text editor with access to variables and document templates appears instead

Conclusion
The "Documents" tab enables professional, comprehensible and time-saving creation of project-related documents. The use of project versions, templates and variables ensures that all content is always up-to-date, consistent and correctly compiled.
