AI Text Assistants - writing texts with a system
The Leadtime AI Text Assistant provides you with an intelligent writing assistant directly in the editor - wherever you work with a so-called rich text field in Leadtime. This applies, for example, to ticket descriptions, task forms, comments or project documentation. The Leadtime AI Text Assistant helps you to write content faster, formulate it more precisely or adapt your style.

Two functions: Enhance & Generate
Leadtime AI is integrated directly into the context menu of the editor. You can call up the functions using the slash commands (/) or a keyboard shortcut:
- Enhance with AI (⌘E on the Mac): Enhance, expand, rephrase or translate an existing text.
- Generate with AI (⌘G on the Mac): Have a new text generated starting from a prompt.
These functions are universally available in the system - i.e. wherever text can be entered.
Enhance with AI - improve texts
If you have already written a text, you can select it and have it revised with Enhance with AI. You will then be shown a dialog in which you can:
- see the selected original text on the left,
- can enter a prompt in the middle (e.g. "please write in more detail"),
- on the right you see the result - i.e. the revised text.
Click on Apply to transfer the new text directly into the form. This is particularly helpful for quickly typed task descriptions or brainstorming notes, for example.

Customize style and options

You can also control the output with various options:
- Language: automatically translate into German or English.
- Style: formulate more formally or more casually - depending on whether you are communicating internally or externally.
- Content options:
- Make it shorter or more detailed
- Formulate more creatively
- Create a better structure (e.g. using subheadings)
- Correct grammatical errors
- Summarize content

Generate with AI - Generate texts
If you don't have any text yet, Leadtime AI will help you with an intelligent starting point. Simply enter a prompt such as:
"Create a typical contact form for a business website"
Leadtime AI then generates a suitable description or even a structured content concept - depending on what it's about. You can accept, refine or revise the generated content - the options are the same as for "Enhance".
Universally applicable
Leadtime AI works wherever you enter longer texts. For example:
- When creating new tasks
- In the description of projects
- In documents or quotation templates
- When commenting on tickets
The generated texts respect the respective structure of the editor. For example, lists, tables or code blocks can be created correctly automatically.
Example: AI in use
A typical example:
- You start a new task with the sentence:
"we need a contact form on the website important with captcha"
- You highlight the text, click on "Enhance with AI" and enter the following prompt:
"Please describe in detail what should appear in the contact form"
- Leadtime AI generates a structured text with all relevant fields: Name, email, message, captcha, etc.
- Click on Apply to replace the old one-liner with a professional description text - done.
