Administration/Workspace settings/General settings
The general settings in Leadtime offer basic configuration options for the entire workspace. This area is divided into three main blocks: Basic Settings, Presence and Pipeline.
Basic settings
Default language

The default language of the workspace can be set here. German or English are currently possible. This setting applies to all users when the application is started for the first time. Each user can set the system language for themselves individually. 👉 More about this here
Brand color
Determine the accent color of the application, e.g. the main color of the company logo. This color is entered in HEX format and is used to visually adapt the system.
Country of operation
Enter the country in which your company is based, e.g. Germany or Austria.
Operating time zone
Defines the time zone in which the company operates, e.g. Europe/Berlin (GMT+01:00).
Presence
A central principle of Leadtime is the complete documentation of office and working hours by all employees. You can configure the relevant parameters in this section of the workspace settings.

Clocking in and out
There are two options:
- Simplified: working hours are automatically recorded based on the agreed working hours stored in the profile, without users having to actively clock in. This option is therefore less strict; however, you deliberately omit the information on exactly when each of your employees starts and ends their working day. We therefore recommend the "activated" option.
- Complete: Users must manually clock in when they start and finish work. This is particularly useful for monitoring the attendance times of remote employees.
Threshold values for time bookings
In the 👉 Team calendar, your employees' time tracking data is highlighted in color. This allows you to see at a glance which colleagues you need to follow up with due to time recording gaps.

Define the level of achievement from which a time booking is marked as "good" (e.g. 75% or more) or "bad" (e.g. less than 30%). These values influence the color display in the team calendar.
Standard start and end times
Determine the regular working hours that are considered core working hours in the office.
Time recording reminder
If employees regularly forget to record their times properly, a reminder function can be activated in the Leadtime time tracker.
Here you define the time period after which users receive a reminder to start or continue their time tracking.
Pipeline

The pipeline is one of the planning tools in Leadtime. It is used to distribute the various tasks in the system to the available employee capacities.

Start day of the pipeline
Pipeline planning is short-term capacity planning. You view the tasks currently pending from various projects, set priorities and distribute them to the team members. Planning is usually carried out for the interval from Monday to Friday.
However, as most companies hold their planning meetings on Monday and capacities can only be scheduled after that, the planning interval can also be shifted from Tuesday to the following Monday - instead of the standard Monday to Friday.
Pipeline period
As a rule, most companies plan their capacities for the week ahead. In Leadtime, however, you can increase the planning period to two weeks. This means fewer meetings and more time for productive work.
