Project categories
The assignment of projects to a project category is primarily for statistical purposes. For example, it could make sense for your company to create project categories for new customer projects as opposed to existing customer projects . This would allow you to evaluate what proportion of your turnover comes from new customers.

To add a new category, click on + Add category, enter the name and a description and save the changes. This way you can ensure that every type of project is mapped to your company process.
Project phases
Project phases describe the different major steps that a project goes through and indicates what stage a project is currently at.

Create project phases
The system is based on the following standard project phases, which exist in one form or another in most projects:
- Sales: The customer has shown interest in a collaboration and requests a quote.
- Requirements: The customer has described and defined their requirements in detail.
- Implementation: The project is implemented in accordance with the defined requirements.
- Quality management: The project is reviewed and it is ensured that all quality standards are met.
- Billing: Billing for the project is due.
- Completed: The project has been billed.
Purpose
Further project phases can be created, but these are derived from one of the standard project phases mentioned here. For example, it could make sense in your internal organization to subdivide the standard phase "Sales" into several individual phases, e.g. "Conduct pitch", "Create price indication", "Negotiate", etc.

Restoring the standard
If you want to reset your adjustments to the project categories or status to the default settings, you can do this using the Restore default option. This function restores the original settings and removes all individual customizations.
English title and description texts

Use the Translations tab to make the names and explanatory texts of the new phases available in English.
