Big Picture - The graphical overview of project tasks

The Big Picture tab in Leadtime provides a visually condensed overview of all tasks in a project. Unlike the classic task list, this display is primarily used to provide project participants with limited day-to-day access - such as team leaders or project coordinators - with a quick, comprehensible overview. This makes it clear at a glance: What is the status of the project? Where is everything running smoothly - and where is it stuck?
Structure of the Big Picture
The view is divided into two main areas:
- Header with control elements
- Task rows (by task type)
Header
- Filter: Display options such as "Summary" or "Last comment".
- Zoom slider: Zoom in/out map view.
- Statistics:
- Number of completed tasks
- Total hours vs. booked hours
Rows by task type
Each task type (e.g. feature, bug, support) has its own row. This helps to group tasks thematically and analyze them specifically.
Each row shows
- Number of tasks
- Number of tasks completed
- Booked hours vs. planned hours
Cards: Visual tickets

Each task appears as a card with condensed information:
- Color code (status):
- 🟢 Resolved → Ticket solved
- 🟠 In Progress / New → Ticket active
- Feedback → Ticket is waiting for feedback
- Ticket name
- Short description / last comment (switchable at the top)
- Status (e.g. "In progress", "Feedback")
- Priority (e.g. "High", "Normal")
- Task type (e.g. "Feature", "Bug")
- Project name
- Due date
- Time estimate & time already booked (e.g. "6h of 40h")
- Number of comments (speech bubble icon with number)
- Pipeline status (pipe icon green, if in current schedule)
- Assigned user
- Tags (if assigned)
Immediately noticeable problem areas
A big advantage of Big Picture: Red cards (status feedback) signal where the project is stalling. These tickets require input from the customer or the team - otherwise the responsible employee cannot continue working.
Interaction with the board
- Add task: A new ticket can be created directly using the button at the top right.
- Sort tasks: Tickets can also be re-sorted using drag & drop, allowing prioritization.
- Open ticket: Click on a ticket to open the complete ticket for editing.
- Zoom function: For many cards, it is worth zooming out to keep all tasks in view.
Who is the Big Picture for?
This view is ideal for:
- Team leaders who need to keep an eye on several projects
- Project managers who want to recognize escalations at an early stage
- Customer contact persons who are regularly informed about progress
